Jason Lee is a Record Producer and Musician who’s musical career started by playing with numerous acts across several different genres, as a guitar player and vocalist, based at that time in Colorado and Arizona. In 2009, he started growing his roots in the Los Angeles music scene, working for several producers in the LA area as a session musician and Mix Engineer. In that time, Jason was able to spend extensive time learning from some of the industries top producers and engineers, in some of the most iconic studios in the world.
Jason’s most recently released projects are “Laura Xmas” from artist Laura Pausini, “Swing Street” from artist Deana Martin (daughter of Dean Martin) as well as the 2 time Grammy nominated album “Home Suite Home” from Composer/Arranger Patrick Williams. He has worked alongside some of the most notable names in the music industry, be it as a Producer, Mix/Recording Engineer, or a Musician. Jason has also lectured and produced live events for the LA Philharmonic, appeared on an episode of “Pensado’s Place”, and regularly volunteers his time as an educator and mentor for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and other educational organizations in their music and recording programs.
In the early period of Jason’s time in Los Angeles, he had the opportunity to record numerous different projects, including a musical on the life of Sammy Davis Jr., where he recorded 3 songs with current “Hamilton” cast member and Tony Award winner, Leslie Odom Jr. In 2014, Jason Produced and Mixed “The Push!” for LA based Composer/Arranger Elliot Deutsch. The two are currently in the process of making a 2nd record due to be released in late 2017. Shortly after the release of “The Push!”, Jason was asked by 2 time Grammy winning composer/arranger Patrick Williams to work with him on producing his latest Big Band record, “Home Suite Home”, featuring artists such as; Patti Austin, Frank Sinatra Jr., Tierney Sutton, Dave Grusin, Arturo Sandoval, Peter Erskine, and many more. The album was nominated for 2 Grammy awards, featured in the November issue of Billboard Magazine, and can be heard on Jazz stations around the world. Jason first worked with Patrick Williams re-mixing the re-release of the iconic TV theme “The Streets of San Francisco”, and was later asked to produce his 2013 classical album release, titled “Moments In Time”.
